"The Setouchi Art Book Fair which is part of the Setouchi Triennale’s official program will be held in October 2019. For centuries, Setouchi has been the crossing point of foreign arts and cultures. Now the area has evolved as an international art hub where high profile artists and people from the art world gather every three years for the Setouchi Triennale. For the first time, this internationally acclaimed art festival will host the “Setouchi Art Book Fair” to exhibit foreign arts and cultures in the form of art books. In the midst of a digital revolution, books are no longer mere information media. The art book is a typical example: it is an “artwork” that you can “touch” and “ feel” and at the same time a “partner” that can become part of your daily life. The finest selection of bookshops, publishers and artists from Asia and beyond will join us to present their unique collections, zines, photo books, picture books and more. Art Byte Critique artists are very excited to be part of the first Setouchi Art Book Fair which will be situated at Tamamo Park located next to the Takamatsu Port with boats and ferries leaving regularly for the islands of the Seto Inland Sea and the 2019 Setouchi Triennial

Friday, October 25th - 1 - 8 pm
Saturday, October 26th - 10 am - 8 pm
Sunday, October 27th - 10 am - 5 pm

Participating Art Byte Critique artists include Arthur Huang, Patty Hudak, Kanako Iriguchi, Yuko Kamei, Lori Ono, and Louise Rouse, Etsuko Sato, and Nick West. This will be the first time for Kanako Iriguchi and Etsuko Sato to take part in the art book fair circuit with Art Byte Critique. All eight artists will have various editions on display including new editions being made for the Setouchi Art Book Fair!
